Piane di Maggio Trebbiano d'Abruzzo- Italy Our House white wine is straw yellow in color with intense, clean and pleasing aromas that start with hints of apple, plum and almond followed by aromas of hawthorn, broom and pear. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, dry and crisp and balanced by alcohol, good body, with intense flavors. The finish is persistent with flavors of apple, plum and almond. A wonderful table wine that pairs well with a large variety of foods especially fish, pasta, and vegetables. Cline Pinot Gris - Sonoma Coast - SUSTAINABLE Refreshing and approachable, Cline's Pinot Gris has exquisite flavors of peach, pears and apricots with delicate apple. A nice bright acidity and fresh fruit are enhanced by not using oak in the winemaking process. Pairs well with our fresh seasonal salads, fish or try it with a piece of our homemade quiche. Alexis Bailey Seyval Blanc - Minnesota - LOCAL The Seyval Blanc is Alexis Bailey vineyards premium white wine. Named for the French Horticulturist who developed the variety during WWI, the Seyval came to the United States in the 1960's when pioneers, like David Bailly, were looking for wine grapes that could be grown outside of the norms of Califonia. With its balance of clean bright fruit and a dry crisp finish, the Seyval is a wine that is both elegant and appealing. Copper Mountain - Oregon- BIODYNAMIC A fresh and fruity Chardonnay with hints of apple skin, anise and mint on the nose, followed by a combination of pear, subtle smoke and a unique flint minerality. The finish is creamy and long. A true Oregon Chardonnay; rediscover Chardonnay with this complex and unique wine from the great Northwest. Extremely food friendly as a chardonnay is meant to be. ![]() Les Heretiques Vin de Pays de L'Herault - France - ORGANIC This French table wine is made from 70 year old Carignane grapes grown on a 13th Century Minervois estate. Its name is in honor of the Cathers, a group from the area that was persecuted (andeventually wiped out) by the Catholic Church for (among other things) being vegetarian, treating women as equals and, most importantly, refusing to tithe (pay the Catholics money). The wine has toasty spice and red and black berry flavors. It is medium bodied and surprisingly soft for how deep it is. D.BOSLER Pinot Noir - Casablanca Valley - ORGANIC Exuberant aromas of fresh strawberries, rose petal and spice. Lush and inviting to the palate, with ripe seductive red fruits and smooth tannins. A deliciously smooth Pinot with plenty of length and substance. This new world Pinot pairs well with lamb or poultry. Cono Sur Cabernet/Carmenere - Chile - ORGANIC A bicycle wine ruled only by nature's cycles! Intense and deep red-purple. Aromas of strawberries, wild berries and plums. Concentrated in the mouth with red and black fruits. Soft tannins integrated with underlying wood and toast. Drink with red and white meats, cheeses, dried fruits. San Michele A Torri Chianti - Italy - ORGANIC From a family owned vineyard west of Florence in a small valley known as the Val di Pesa. Interesting nose of dried roses and crushed strawberries, very pretty. This wine pops of Sangiovese cherry flavors; the flavors take a vit of vanilla urn with a supple Asian spiciness as it changes with the warmth of your mouth. The is a very versatile food wine but oriented towards more complex foods than most Chianti. Enjoy! Palacios Remondo Rioja Tinto Vendimia - Spain- ORGANIC From one of Spain's most acclaimed winemakers. Alvaro Palacios produces only four wines from his estate in rioja. This wine is a pure expression of the estate’s incredible fruit quality,released young to maximize its explosiveness. A wonderful summer red, able to handle the most complex of cuisine, yet subtle and distinctive enough to enjoy on its own. Gemtree Vineyards Tadpole Shiraz/Cab -Australia-Sustainable Deliciously juicy front palate that exhibits ripe berries, spice and amazing length. The palate just lingers beautifully leaving a sensation to empty the glass and drink the bottle! Wonderful balance for a youthful wine, showcasing creativity at it's best. Chocolate Ginger Crack-Up CookiesB> ![]() 1 cup granulated sugar 6 tbspn unsalted butter 2 large eggs 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder 1 tspn vanilla extract 1 cup all purpose flour 1 tspn baking powder pinch of salt 1/2 cup chocolate chips 1/3 cup minced candied ginger 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar ![]() 1. With an electric mixer, beat the granulated sugar with the butter. Mix in the eggs, then add the cocoa and the vanilla; beat at medium speed until smooth and creamy. Next add the flour, baking powder and salt. Mix the dough for two minutes. Stir in the chocolate chips and the ginger. Cover and refrigerate at least two hours. 2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment or wax paper. Form the cookies into 1-inch balls and coat generously with confectioner's sugar. Place the balls one inch apart on the prepared cookie sheets. Bake for twelve minutes or until the tops look cracked. Yields about 2 1/2 dozen. |
